StageCaller Documentation

I’ve been a bit lazy in writing the documentation for StageCaller – We’ve tried to make StageCaller simple to use – but we’ve grown the product in a rather organic fashion lately, so it can be a bit challenging for the first time user.

The status screen gives you an at-a-glance status of what StageCaller is doing at any moment.

The example on the right shows that MIDI is turned on, OSC is off, and background handling is off.  When background is off, StageCaller will only be able to receive MIDI and/or OSC messages while the app is running in the foreground (the app will not be able to receive messages if the device is sleeping, or locked).  When background is on, StageCaller can receive events while the application is running in the background, or if the device is sleeping or locked.  PLEASE NOTE:  background uses battery power like water…

The ‘Active Actions’ area shows a scrollable list of user created trigger-able actions.
